At Hotel Derby, we take care of the environment with passion and responsibility.

Sustainability is not just a policy: it is part of our identity and the way we welcome guests on the Rimini seafront. Our goal is to reduce environmental impact, enhance the Romagna Riviera, and offer a more conscious and nature-friendly experience.

Our commitment continues every day, and we are proud to have received the Green Tourism Bronze Award, a recognition that highlights the path we have taken and the concrete actions implemented.

OUR CONCRETE COMMITMENT

  • Reduction of plastic and refillable products: in the bathrooms we provide Ecolabel refillable dispensers for shampoo and shower gel, reducing the use of single-use products. Glasses are reusable, avoiding disposable plastic.

  • Ecolabel-certified toilet paper and napkins: all paper consumables used in the hotel meet ecological standards, reducing environmental impact.

  • Eco-friendly cleaning: we use Ecolabel-certified microfiber cloths and mops, reusable tools, and detergents applied only in the necessary quantities.

  • Water and energy efficiency: taps and showers with flow restrictors, low-consumption lighting, and optimized laundry loads to save water and energy.

  • Responsible laundry management: towels are washed in-house, reducing transport and CO₂ emissions. We promote towel reuse, changing them every two days or upon guest request, to reduce water and energy consumption.

  • Green areas and outdoor space management: our areas feature potted plants and hedges, with minimal spontaneous vegetation. We remove weeds manually and do not use pesticides or herbicides.

  • Local and seasonal foods: in our restaurant we favor local, organic, and seasonal products, supporting local producers and reducing transport impact. For breakfast, we have minimized single-use packages by using bulk, high-quality, homemade products.

  • Waste reduction and recycling: we collect and separate waste, optimizing the use of materials and limiting waste.

  • Microfiltered water: we serve microfiltered water in glass bottles, further reducing plastic use.

  • Sustainable mobility and tourist information: we provide free bicycles for excursions or short trips. At the reception, we offer information on train and bus schedules as well as naturalistic, cultural, and gastronomic itineraries, encouraging guests to get around without using a car.

  • Staff education and engagement: our staff is trained to follow sustainable practices daily, from cleaning to hospitality.

THE RESULTS OF OUR GREEN JOURNEY

Thanks to these practices, we have significantly reduced the use of plastic and chemical detergents, optimized water and energy consumption, promoted sustainable mobility, and improved the quality of services offered to our guests, all while respecting the environment.

The Green Award is not a final destination but a new starting point: we will continue to implement increasingly responsible practices, share our Green Story on social media and booking platforms, and involve our guests in an environmentally conscious stay, without compromising the comfort and quality that define us.
